It was decided to combine a Fly for Fun event with a Memorial tribute to the two long time Club members who sadly have passed away in the last 12 months – namely Dave Tostevin and more recently, John Ogier. Both members are sorely missed as they contributed a lot to the club in terms of modelling knowledge but more more importantly their own personalities.
Current members were joined by Lin who is a niece of the late John Ogier and is herself very interested in model aircraft, having grown up seeing many of John’s models over the years. Several of both Dave T’s and John O’s models were displayed at the event and we were lucky that the weather favoured us on this occasion. Photos are courtesy of Geoff Brehaut, to whom we are ever thankful for the great shots he captures on the event days.
